Well, they’ve been suppressed under the “4 rulers” of the monster lands…
Where the only thing those rulers do, is prevent anyone else from ascending to their level since they are so braindead and without purpose…
It’s almost just like irl…
(when all the land is occupied & and you don’t know how to increase your strength, but also are too lazy to study and expand into the wise/crafting/arrays etc… then robbing & suppressing everyone therein is the only way to maintain power…)
Otherwise over time, EVERYONE in the entire star boundry would ascend to emperor 3.
And any person with multi talents who does so like yang…

Would instantly be above them.
I mean, just imagine if instead of coming to star boundry…
Yang unified the whole lower star territory, raised hundreds of thousands of void king 3’s… many being multi talented, and THEN entered the corridor to star boundry?
