He first entered the 4th layer & spent 3? Days there, absorbing worlds to fix his small world bead.
When he entered Barbarian world, he thought he only had 2 days in it, and was suprised when he wokeup the third day,
So the 2 years inside only took 2 days in outside time.
(It’s all explained how it works in more detail in much later chapters)
So on 2nd read through knowing whats happening in the background, how and why they were setup to work in such a way makes sense.
