Or… they kill off competition, monopolize the whole industry, then raise prices so most people can barely afford it, forcing people to starve, and ban anyone else from fishing because they are farming as much as possible before causing collapse of ecosystem…

The release toxic chemicals from the industrial processing poisoning the water supply so they can also charge people for bottled water they used to get for free…

Packaging in terribly unclean food prep conditions so nobody but the rich get actual clean fresh fish…

Oh wait, that’s what’s happening in many places irl…

Well, you could call it luck, but really… This place is probably the whole reason the sect was built here in the first place. So it’s more like an inevitability.

Every sect is the same after all, they’re founded where, how and when they are because people find something special there; or because something special happened and people are gathered there in response, like High Heaven Pavilion way back in the beginning of the story.

It seems inevitable too that eventually MC would find traces of the legacy on the shamans somewhere in the world… Especially in the south.
