This enemy seems to have abilities similar to one of Blade’s (Wesley snipes) vampire super bosses.
Blood Scripture allowing him to… BE the blood. So as long as all of it isn’t annihilated he will survive.
Being cut, or dismembered just requires him to spend the necessary/equivalent amout of qi/energy to repair and reform it.
In the case of yang kai…
Crows Fire = annihilating his blood/body where it touches…
*Black crow turns himself/ his body into a cloud of blood crows to avoid being stabbed by the fire / space attack…

Upgraded wind gourd (magnetic divine golden light) = AOE wiping out a majority of them…
(Every one of yangs attacks is completely annihilating the blood that makes up his body, so the energy contained in the destroyed parts is lost as well. In pokemon/RPG terms “the attack was super effective”)
So black crow, who took over the body of an emperor realm cave heaven core diciple (6th rank condensed resources)
and then absorbed a bunch of others who were weaker than a core diciple.

but vs yang who has the high rank element strength & perfect combat techniques for dealing with him… he is just receiving a beat down. (Though his special technique preventing him from being killed outright/instakilled)
No, pei didn’t win, black crow was more interested in chasing down yang kai so just clobbered him a he flew past chasing yang and didn’t bother to finish him off.
(Yang followed and flew past pei, way faster using space force, to use Pei as a tool to slow down black crows persuit)
