This money making method for YK is a two ended sword, firstly he would be able to make money, thus be able to get better things and information, but also it will result in more deaths for the humans I’m sure YK knows of that.

Since at the same level, ink clan are usually 20% or more… weaker than your average weakest [newly promoted to that rank] open heaven cultivator.
(Most black ink be like) 
A 20% increase from weapon and armor would put them on par with same rank & more durable.
Instead of always being weaker in a 1 V 1 duel…
So the possibility of being able to win a duel vs a same rank cultivator is like a desirable dream goal! 
And who doesn’t want more ink coins ..
I don’t think yang kai will buff them too much, after all he can only make low – mid rank artifacts. Also, I believe thank yang kai would make a flaw in the artifacts… like what the jews did to the nation pistols.
