Remember when he was killing Black Abyss with ease because he could manifest his green Soul Killing sword artifact in this space? Is he not using it because he’s outnumbered too badly?

Every time it does it and it heals counts as body tempering & is making his soul stronger/more damage resistant.
& despite how they look in the manga, the script/translation is based on the novel so doesn’t match/make sense for the pictures.
They can’t see his Yang Kai appearance shape nor he theirs, they are all basically ghostly blobs ‘chibi’ of soul energy kinda like how Old Demon used to look?
