Dont mind this, I just have just the right couple paragraphs in one of my many incomplete books :
Aelric awoke from a restless sleep, his body aching from the previous day’s struggles. The dense forest around him was eerily silent, save for the occasional rustling of leaves in the wind. As he shifted to sit up, he felt something hard beneath him, an object he had unknowingly been lying on. Confused, Aelric pushed himself to his feet and noticed a strange, dark object—a black, brick-like book that he couldn’t remember having with him.
It was unlike anything he’d ever seen: smooth, obsidian-like in texture, its surface shimmering faintly with an otherworldly glow. As he reached out to touch it, the book trembled, then lifted off the ground, hovering inches above the forest floor. Aelric staggered back, eyes wide in shock. The object floated with an unnatural ease, as though weightless, pulsing with dark energy.
The air around him grew heavy, crackling with unseen power. Aelric’s heart raced as he watched the book slowly rise higher, seemingly drawn to him. He could feel the pull, as if it was beckoning him, calling out to something deep within. The once still atmosphere was now alive with an unsettling force, and Aelric knew this was no ordinary artifact—it was something far more ancient and dangerous.
In that moment, he realized whatever this object was, it wasn’t something he could simply ignore. Its presence was a mystery he needed to unravel, but he couldn’t shake the feeling that its appearance wasn’t by chance—it was meant for him, and the answers it held might be tied to his very survival.
Chapter is so short i can’t get into it. As soon as i begin reading im hitting next and combating ads. Feel like im doing more martial arts on my phone more than the mc.
