On this reread I remember how cringy this whole part was. Medicine is the least likely career to have racism against Asians the sheer number of Asians in the medical field is honestly astonishing. That white dude would be fired so fast, lol

I’m dropping. ATP it’s just lazy writing. I hate when Korean authors try to write about racism they have never experienced. It just reveals their own bias in the end.

I can say I’ve never been called an “Asian Monkey.” I’m gonna assume that’s the author’s assumption of what racism is. I have, however, heard “chink” a lot, and definitely had the eyes-pulled-back thing done at me.

That being said, pretty sure doctors wouldn’t care one bit about an Asian doctor. That’s a pretty well known stereotype.
