dont think either was wrong, but as bluish-haired girl (sorry bad with names) pointed out, the ghost was immune to normal physical attacks. where to look? what to bring to fend for yourself? having enough people to watch over sol. not a simple situation
on other hand, MC couldve been injured & needed help. there are stories which have both scenarios where a character needs help from those who were supposed to be waiting & where characters in safety better off staying put. in this situation though, would side with bluish-haired girl. jus think she worded it overly harshly

MC is just the guy with the most power.
MC chose these people because they were stronger.
He abandoned the weak people.
He seems to believe the motto… “Might is right”… or at least that the weak are worth abandoning and pnly the strong (those with good stats).
Aka the philosophy of those Germans a hundred years ago led by the guy with the moustache…
…or the Russians led by the other guy with the moustache at the same time.
People won’t like thinking about it but the MC is not a hero.
This chapter shows this philosophy.
…. And for those who don’t have a problem with this behaviour…
Not many of the people reading on here would be high achievers worth saving according to this philosophy.
Heroism is about self-sacrifice.
Even a weak person can be a hero.
The decay of the West is in part because people have stopped believing self-sacrifice for others was good.
