Given human nature, the description of Majin here sounds like human anarchists who simply had the luck of developing fungal abilities, like Puppeteers. The reason they become so powerful, I presume is they simply don’t give a shit about anything except themselves and their fun, and let all that power go to their heads. Boosted by confidence, then overconfidence, combined with narcissistic arrogance that they were too powerful to be stopped by anyone, going unbridled apeshit on their surroundings.
lol what, so they appease their enemies? Technology is obviously a threat to them if they’re so fixated on stopping technological innovation. So instead of combating this genocidal demons by advancing and getting ahead in science and technology, they decide to stop advancing and forever be under threat by those demons?
