Also, I’m confused as to why he wanted to hide the substitute, seeing as he already used it on that one dude in the hospital.

I don’t understand why he doesn’t use appraisal on every monster. He’s about to fight. He won’t look so incompetent. Doesn’t he have principles of darkness.
