These training methods are so incredibly stupid if the goal is actually building the power of the group. I get annoyed every time I see it. Killing off everyone who is *not quite the best* every time deprives you of huge numbers of perfectly useful soldiers/workers/etc. Clearly none of them have read The Evil Overlord’s Handbook.
