I will say though, I kind of wish he kept him alive. It would be a lot easier to clear his name when the perpetrator was still alive to confess. I don’t know the laws in Korea but there is something called excessive self defense (at least in Germany), where if you use force beyond the reasonable amount, you can actually get prosecuted for.
In easy terms: if someone slaps you, you cant just pull out a knife on go for the neck.
