If there’s one stereotype I find infuriating it’s dense MC’s… well there are several others but that’s definitely one of them.
Bruh, just say to her “I need to fall in love to be able to get married. It’s not that I won’t marry you, but I think we should get to know each other better.”
Even though I think (especially in Murim) that 17 is okay, he could say something along those lines (which isn’t even a lie tbf), and she’ll be 18 before long. Chances are she’s around 17½, so it wouldn’t take long, and he’d be able to get to know her better, too.
Also, she’s weak, and could be targeted by people due to his fame. He needs to at least get beyond peak mastery before considering it, so he could protect her/scare people away from the idea.
If he explained it that way, it would satisfy her just fine I reckon.

I have to get rid of the fact that it really gets on my nerves how much self-affirmation takes place in the comments.
Not only is a lot of things unnecessarily repeated in a spammy way, it simply doesn’t matter and becomes irrelevant what someone feels when they align it with the encouragement of others. Not especially here, but also here, this does not even correspond to the lessons that can be learned from the story – and that upsets me in particular.
The potential of these stories is to again weight quality higher than quantity; peace, personal responsibility higher again than satisfaction.
Instead, people are frantically helping themselves to protect their own urge for gratification, and reading and reducing the stories accordingly.
No, the fantasy world is not more interesting or better than his reallife, then read fantasy stories, you are not up to the genre!
Most interesting, is the tension between the relationships of the two worlds and what that does to his self-image (Jacques Lacan).

Normally not a fan of dual stories in one, but this kind of does it pretty good…like its not so huge between the two, but ima kinda invested in both tbh even tho i prefer the older era style story more
