This is a bit of speculation, but the anomaly with the third-floor boss might have been partly due to its being hit by the cursed great-sword’s spell used by that S-rank SOB. It would make sense that a demonic sword might empower rather than weaken an apocryphal creature and perhaps remove those floor restrictions and what have you
