After rereading the chapter I think I misjudged Medaka a bit. After all, he realized himself that he couldn’t wrap his head around what was happening and did the best what he could do: asked his friends (almost getting killed in the process, but eh). So at least he’s still self-aware and inquisitive. Props.
That said, after all this time, all those direct and indirect signals, sudden kisses, hints, clues and one outright confession, Medaka not being able to connect at least a few dots, ease up on the denial, acknowledge a thing or two, pull his head out of his a$$… Yeah, he’s f#cking dense. Neutron star level dense.
The author could put a bit more effort in character development. Come to think of it, most of them didn’t change at all since the beginning, with one notable exception: Mona. And even she stopped evolving ca 100 chapters ago. Maybe even 150.
