I know how immature and unrealistic it is. But in manga like this I like to imagine the ending will be a harem and everyone is just magically happy with that.
I dread the part where the MC chooses the main girl and the others are sad.

So the guy is not dense, he definitely sees things and tries to figure them out, but his awkwardness and lack of experience in contacts with girls are major hindrance he is yet to overcome.
