i hate things like this
when i was 6 my dad opened 2 accounts for me he put 235$ in each he talked to me and made me pick stocks
one account was for high risk and the other low
he talked about picking things that i liked, used and things one can put trust into
at the time i did a toy car stock
coke cola stock
and a few tech stocks
in the low risk
and i dont remember the high risk
in under a year the high risk went up 40% and then dropped
to 20% of what we put in
i still hold the low risk stock (not the toy car they failed)
he said that its ok to lose everything but you need to learn from it
of the 470$ at 6 i have made over 260 from dividends
and the stocks them self are worth over 700 coke went hard
learning from a fail does not mean giving up it all and never doing it again
it means to learn from it and do better next time
i have put in a lot more for the stocks i did good in and got in to Pepsi cuz coke did great
im up 600% in coke over the last 17 years
