Well, she’s smart but still a child when her emotions get charged, and looks like her magic requires maintenance or there is backlash. Hopefully not too much backlash.

Maybe taking in the side effects of using Dragon Tongue (I like it better than Dragon Speech, and that’s that) caused a blockage of some sort. It’ll probably resolve itself at some point in the future.
Or maybe dragon mommy grounded her from using it for a while, until she learns to be more responsible with her powers… and stop making her dad so hot that other women drool over him. She can’t be happy about that lol.
