Oh I am thankful that it was pointed out that the mother was the beginning of all this BS. While she is not totally at fault, the initial catalyst for all of this nonsense happening was the fact that she dipped on her own and didn’t bother to tell bro he had a kid until she was in a position where he was her only option.
Had she stayed or at the very least told him about his kid when she found out she was pregnant or decided to keep child he would likely not have been so adverse to the prospect in his past life, at the very least he would know about Seol-Ah and might have been present enough in her life that he would have been attached to her even if he was forced to raise her alone.
The entire scenario was a bundle of bad choices but she is the start of it all, and it has honestly been bugging me that they kept acting like he is the primary cause of Seol-Ah’s problems when he had a pretty valid reaction to the mother playing stupid until she needed his help.

The closer this gets to the end the more I feel like the MC has to die for the sake of his daughters.

What is with this pacing? This is not the time to calmly exposition. They HAVE to know *something* is going on with their daughter. If they just put this chapter after they ran into Seol-Ah, got her back, at least determined she wasn’t dying then yes, greaet scene. I’m very curious why they put this *NOW* though, very odd pacing.
