These regression stories are so goddamn frustrating. I get it, you need drama and intensity to make the story interesting but rapidly accelerating time to ‘catch up’ with the original future is just so fucking annoying. What’s the point in going back in time if all it does is basically doom the future to an even worse result? Why give the MC knowledge of the future only to render it invalid the second they use it? The butterfly effect is so strong that literally any change will alter the future so as to make everything completely different? What a bunch of nonsense. At least Legendary Mechanic did this right. Everything other story I see just invalidates it’s MC’s future knowledge immediately after they regress. Good job authors, you prove you have zero ability to drive an interesting narrative.
