I don’t know why, but just a hunch. But I think blacksmiths son may by the owner of the blood coming from the hammer because it looks too fresh to be his.

I think the Blacksmith is dead and that is not him in the last page
he looks like the person who just was let out of torture and just had a mental breakdown which is currencly shown in the last scene he was still healed or no but he will still remember that the pain was unforgetable atleast they didnt go too far from the torture the mental breakdown doesnt look that bad he was only tortured in the spots he trained all his like and is facing a great mental breakdown… did i get too far to write the reason for the expression but i was guessing 😀
