FIRST! Bath, shampoo, soap and de-lousing. Trim nails, clean teeth, check for diseases.
Second: Clothing, light but warm, and for the love of clean bedding, don’t forget absorbent undies, for the inevitable loss of control, if control even EXISTS yet.
Third: Light food, liquids, build towards solids over the long term. Hydration, and protein.
Fourth: Exercise, and educational toys, frequent physical contact, holding, etc, build a bond with the child….uuurrrgh
