Personally, I prefer the anime adaptation of this chapter. It has better pacing and adds the funny eagle burger scene that leads to them sharing one — absolute peak cuteness.
I just love this type of romance. It’s childish, honest, and wholesome in a way you rarely see, especially in Western stories. Their pure, awkward conversations make me blush every time. It perfectly captures that innocent feeling of liking someone.
