My Gift LVL 9999 Unlimited Gacha - Chapter 170
Comments for chapter "Chapter 170"
“The spear that bore witness to the burial of god”
This series is like Taco Bell for me. I don’t even keep it in my bookmarks. Every once in a while I see it as a “Readers Also Liked” sort of recommendation, read a few chapters, remember why I didn’t like it, and go about my business sort of thing. Just like driving past a Taco Bell, remembering that you liked it as a kid, only to order something and be reminded of exactly why you never go out of your way to eat there anymore
Miki is treated as a prisoner, with Light requesting information from her before facing each Master. In return, she asks for some form of payment.
After discovering the true target of his revenge, Light approached Miki for information about a particular Master, as he had done before. However, instead of making her usual perverted demands, Miki sensed that something was wrong because everyone in the Abyss was extremely angry, yet no one said a word. Realizing the gravity of the situation, she offered to reveal everything she knew about the remaining Masters. In return, she said she didn’t mind remaining a prisoner, but begged Light not to kill or torture her. Light agreed on the condition that she disclose all remaining information, and assured her that her treatment would gradually improve over time.
Just like in the WN, Miki is treated as a prisoner. However, the LN hasn’t progressed as far in the story. The current arc is Runaway Centaur Arc Part One, and Light has not yet discovered the true target of his revenge.
Pretty weak for a mythic curse, more like a poison they tourniquet. A true curse should have persisted even after he regrew the arm.
It seems to me that erasing Daigo from existence with LVL2 Gugnir is not without the price because the side-effects is getting worse and it even require some non-gory amputation from Nazuna before the corruption can go through the whole body and force to regrow the arm like lizard tail. Not to mention that every seal break of that infamous weapon actually reveal some broken sentence which only adding more question than answers about this infamous weapon
Again, as the result of this type of side-effects, the Gugnir will be put in shelf and it can be only used for until somebody (like one certain leader of the 8 traitors) force him to do it again.
Moving on, this chapter is also one of the aftermath chapters where Light is going to see Miki and yes, got one jackpot for Miki’s change from Sado into Maso part, especially seeing her like this-and pretty smart too given that she is a Master. Somehow, the manga omitting Mei’s disclaimer to Light before even meeting her
Interesting though that seems like a very cheap way of getting around it as that would mean it only corrupts the physical body and not the spiritual body which is kinda weak for a genesis rank weapon
why treat her as prisoner?

unpopular opinion, but I think miki can be fixed. the prison treatment isn’t helping though.
