The destroyed civilization, why do I get the feeling it was an advance civilization created by humans but was destroyed by the other races, it could be for various reasons, fear or jealousy. The reason can be anything. The manga might reveal what happened, but I feel like it was created by humans, considering how other races feel about humans.
What if this was an era after the modern era because if you think about it the modern era is the most dangerous era in the history of the world which only humans resided but if so then that means in the future there was a atomic bomb that exploded the meaning that the master could’ve been a mutated person from that era and made him immortal so after world ended the master still lived meaning the reason behind discrimination against humans is cause they are the most powerful beings that could destroy the world 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
So there is a web-novel that this is actually reminding me of. It’s called “A Practical Guide to Good and Evil.” The civilizations of that world have been stuck in a magical and technological stalemate, because whenever a group reaches a certain threshold of advancement, a mysterious race called the Gnomes would appear and raze the entire country to the ground. I think that that might be what is happening in this world.
Theory time:
so the past civilisation got handed total atomic annihilation on a radioactive sliver platter and bit the dust pretty quickly. The survivors the went back to making basic housing and forgot the past knowledge. As many years as you want later, people mutated into the different races and even some animals mutated into large monsters. Magic then just “magically appeared”. Go through some more arbitrary amount of year and here we are.

Might be, that human is the real master class in the olden ancient times, but with arrogance of their mighty technologies, they created subclass entities / mutants like the dragonewts & eleves for their daily chores & in times they rebel against humans & make them the subclass instead?
Or those ancient people evolve into the grey man and leave the planet in exodus to another star system all entirely.
