Golem basically ‘die’ when the core of their bodies are destroyed. Very rarely do they have regenerative abilities.
That usually means that they aren’t golems and are more akin to magical puppets that can be restored due to the puppeteers influence. So, the question is “where/who is the puppeteer?” There’s no need to ask how far his/her/it’s influence is. It’s most definitely that entire area.
