This is great.
This is truly great.
This is an author that respects his characters: an author that manages to give them at least one moment of greatness, even if it’s just one moment.
Also, subverting the whole “the villain is always, always, ALWAYS seven steps ahead, and even if he loses he wins” thing is very satisfying.
