So I will say this is a very good natural ending for a more…adult/young adult story like Simon loses main focus at the end of Gurren Lagan.
THAT’S a solid “Hero loses power/importance, but it’s okay” type story
HOWEVER
Baku having the most emotional response to his rival, A CHILD mind you, losing everything being the heaviest is crazy.
Meanwhile every adult hero in this war seems to be like “WOW what a crazy day huh rightt??”
Hori better give us all the adult heroes begging or crying for forgiveness in these next 1-4 chapters cause god these kids lost SO MUCH just to be told “It is what it is”
