I am hoping for a plot twist where he is an exiled prince, and the reason for his exile is because he made a horridly cursed ring that they had to throw into a volcano.
also expecting MC to scream out in a deranged mad scientist voice: “One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them!“
