I remember the alcohol loving aunt master from the novel. Although I never finished the novel, I think she was one of the 3 possible romance interests from the early part of the novel, but as a steady MC, that doesn’t need no woman, he doesn’t get with any of them (at least not to my knowledge).
But he does eventually get a Dao companion much later on.
