So it was more or less what was expected. Shi’an wanted to impress her but should’ve know better, Jin wanted to see her brother get in trouble due to how annoyed she was with him that day, and Qingze was the pot-stirrer that made it all possible, albeit unintentionally. It’s somewhat amusing in a petty way how much harsher Qingze made it for Shi’an, he may’ve had the lion’s share of the blame, but making a six year old write hanzi characters that complex is a bit much. Also find it kinda funny that the imagined older version of Shi’an is more or less identical to his pops, but I suppose that’s to be expected given his overall appearance and attitude being a mirror to that of Qingze in many ways.

Beetle’s a bit of a strange name for a turtle, but I suppose it’s to be expected that the kids’d come up with something like that due to their age. Doesn’t say much for you though Qingze naming a ginger tom Winter Melon, he may be as fat and round as one now but he wasn’t when you first got him. But for all the shortcomings he has, he does have his own share of wisdom, it’s always nice to hear his musings on life in general (and to Jiang He too apparently given how cutely hot and bothered she was at the end).
