I’ve been noticing the bowing hand gestures the characters do, and they turn out to be surprisingly significant.
For example elder moon at first greets the prince neutrally and as a thinker, prince greets him non-threateningly. The newcomers greet the prince laxly, lazily. The prince greets other elders softly, but properly, but salutes and thanks his people with power and authority.
Funny to see how quickly ‘I only bow to the patriarch and won’t lift a finger except on his orders’ turns to ‘fuck the patriarch, all my homies hate the patriarch’ when a breakthrough and some sword knowledge come into the equation, lol.
It’s like every other chapter is a different translator 😅
