Actually… the electrical resistance thing is kinda flipped… So in a plasma(flames are actually air in a plasma state) the electrons are untethered to one atom and flow freely from one atom to another making something like nitrogen which doesn’t normally conduct electricity able to. So this makes the flames actually act like grounding rods and anything already caught on fire is more likely to be struck again with more power.

Ironically, most of the damage done by lightning is the plasma burns. So being shrouded in plasma already by the flames and not getting burned means he’s not going to get burnt by lightning. So getting his brain and heart fried should be his only concern.

For those who want to experience something cool, look closely at the last panel of this chapter, and try to engrave it in your head. Then, click on the chapter selection menu and select the very first chapter. On the first panels, you’ll see the mc and when you compare him to what he became, you go : “Damn!”
