I’m not sure if I’m liking this. It’s entertaining sure, fun to read, but I really don’t like the direction the story is going. The protagonist is just evil, what he’s doing is justified in a revenge sense sure, but his methods of vengeance are much crueler than the ones his enemies use. It’s to the point where I genuinely don’t want this guy to succeed anymore, he’s just a villain who will punish even the innocent (as relative as innocent is in this world) if they have ‘bad blood’, or if doing so will somehow hurt his real enemies emotionally. He wants to cause chaos and war between the factions for personal reasons, knowing full well that it’s just gonna kill countless innocent lives in the process. He’s doing the exact same cruel methods and murdering that his enemies do, so how is he any better than them? How is any of what he’s doing justified outside of personal gain?
