I can’t believe some people are defending serne. She had a sad life before, boo fucking hoo. She’s still doing undeniably bad things. She complains about how people think she controls everyone, then a few chapters later, SHE CONTROLS EVERYONE. Like, gee, I wonder why everyone thinks that, lady? Also, given her intelligence, it’s safe to assume that she’s purposefully provoking meilyn with the jacket, which only drives a rift further between them. 
Meilyn isn’t overreacting, she’s under reacting.
