Necromancer Academy and the Genius Summoner - Chapter 147
Comments for chapter "Chapter 147"
The worldbuilding here is taking a nosedive. Every time there’s been a conflict holy powers have been shown, as a general rule, to hard counter necromancy. Then you remember Ferr and the Battallion’s introduction back in 22 and (ignoring the part where Richard didn’t actually rule over the continent at any point) Feer hypes it up as sufficient to conquer the continent and… Keizen declares a bunch of undead to be public enemies. Putting aside how illogical it is, blaming undead for their necromancer’s commands, there’s a problem of their being an order to destroy/remove a power that can oppose a rival nation’s powerhouses. It’s just bad writing made worse by introducing a counterpart to batallions, which themselves seemed to be the only reason Keizen would have been a threat to Efnelle/ the Holy Federation, in the form of saints that seem able to match/overpower Battalions.
Also Keizen is aggressively incompetent letting not just any priest, but a saint infiltrate them. Like I said, everything seems one-sided so far. Priests have the ability to detect undead (mentioned during the first mission) but apparently it isn’t that our boy Simon hasn’t learned how to detect priests, but that they can’t if such a powerful priest was just in Keizen for so long.
This chapter undermines everything before it for a flashy reveal.
Poor Kazan. Great battle
I can fix her
more like efnel kingdom is more devious than the keyzen or whatsoever.
POWER UP TIME!?????
Use your mother’s power
So, mother side powers gonna be revealed….!?
Well that’s not good
I can see MC deactivating his bone armor, to save his commander, getting hit by the holy fire raw, but being unharmed because he’s half priest on his mothers side.
I don’t think we ever got to meet the actual TA before she got possessed, but it’s nice to know how things came about. I pity the host. And speaking of this possession, this really feels like something the necromancers and dark mages etc would be doing, not the holy mages and priests etc.

i kinda feel like this is weird. how could necromancers get a truce if they can’t really “win” easily. i’m sure MC will pull a mcguffin, but other necromancers couldn’t. so, how?
i hope that gets explained somehow.
