If your going to go that route and try to force things along. Why not just grab the guy and use him to kill the demon king. What’s the difference between punch the demon king with your fist and having your body swung and used to beat him to death? 
I know it’s for the plot… but why don’t he just tell him to choose Freelancer from the start. He probably wouldn’t want it then or tell him “you can choose anything but..*insert OP class*”
i feel like he would go with that just out of spite.

Disappointing.
Mc could easily mould the new hero however he feels like, hes stronger than him and has more experience. Easy to deceive him, or even toture and bully him into the perfect type of hero he likes, we already seen he has no qualms with violence, killing the demon king just to get a reset. Instead he lets the newby disrespect him, and talk to him however he feels. There isn’t even a clear distinction of hierarchy.
MC is just a pathetic beta with low IQ, a reflection of the authors intelligence.
