I think the author might be going overboard with creating an overpowered MC. 
I expect as well, that those self-same knights, after getting their butts saved, and that “King”, will turn on the MC and his allies, because “Oh Noes, they is R Scaarryy, and too stwong to contwol..”.
c’mon, you all see this coming too, don’tcha? Plus, they will likely claim all credit for the kills.
