Is this the same MC that’s been bullied and abused by people his entire life and has vowed to take revenge? Can’t these authors ever think a little further than surface-level emotional states. Nothing is more immersion-breaking than making the central emotional theme into an on/off switch that only activates when he’s in close proximity to one of his targets.
