So apparently I’ve read this two years ago and rediscovered it now due to the sudden mass update (or not? Ch 12 – 19 says 2 days ago to me, maybe I dropped it at ch 11, idk). Currently re-reading from the beginning and I don’t know what headspace I was in two years ago, but I can say right now, the MMC is presenting as a whiny entitled turd. Maybe it gets better, but as of this chapter, my opinion of him is low.

So what if you got accused of shit before, over and over sure, but I don’t believe that warrants closing yourself off from forgiveness. Plus you mean to tell me that the people he’s been living with never tried to apologize until now? Maybe there’s something wrong with you MMC?

I too have experience similar things to MMC way back when and I didn’t close myself off to the world, no, I kept on trucking despite feeling like I’m worse than shit.

The previous “Victims” are over here, trying to reconnect and MMC shuts them down without a second thought, as if only his feelings are valid. He rationalizes that they’re experiencing cognitive dissonance, guess what? I see that MMC is is experiencing the same thing. He never tried to clear the air, just shut himself off from the world when something bad happens and thinks the world wronged him. The world owes him nothing. Just as the girls owe him an apology, he owes the girls an ear for their apology at least once.

Now for the author, I think he’s wish fulfilling himself, maybe he this MC’s past trauma happened to him personally but tell me it’s not wish fulfillment that attractive ladies are all but throwing themselves at his generic ass in high school?
