… In this chapter Kin’Emon has shown us his true color of being a stupid yes man, as a person unloyal to the extremely important saviours, allies and true friends to himself, to his master, and to his people. Bad, really, really bad. A disastrous character.
Judging from this Momonosuke would very much likely going to be a bad shogun and gradually develop a tyrannical temperament because he has this kind of royal vizier around him.
Oda shouldn’t have written the plot in this way. Yes, there were lots of examples like this in real history in situations like this, as soon as the hero accomplished the great deed he would be outcasted by the kings, and emperors… those shitheads change their minds in a wink, but no… it shouldn’t be ended like this… what a pitiful ending of this arc.
