It’s sad. B/c of the spoiled brats who picked on Garou when he was a kid, all while they pretended to be “heroes,” he developed this warped view in his head of the world. He rooted for the cartoon monsters b/c they were all child-friendly villains: they never did anything truly heinous like ripping children apart, they’d just do “silly” or “acceptable” crimes like “trying to clean up the ocean.” He didn’t realize that a “monster who inspires fear” is the kind of monster like Royal Ripper. He just saw the brats he played with and wanted someone to punch them a few times and “take them down a peg or two.”
Welp, he’s finally starting to realize that that desire to see the “heroes” taken down was really his desire for justice to be done.
