I feel like this sort of: “Bwahaha! All corporations are corrupt, no matter which! All of them!” — is not the kind of arc this story really needs. It just slows everything down, and turns it way too stale and boring.
It already makes no sense that “money” has any value in this society, that gets obliterated every Monday and Thursday. So the idea of corruption taking hold on….EVERYTHING, when you’ve got literal superhuman with a strong sense of justice under you, for the sake of “money”…Is just….Stupid. And not the good kind, what this manga usually thrives on.
I already didn’t like that the “hero corp” is corrupt, making any other similar corp, similarly corrupt, is doubling down on a bad card, plot-wise.
Ok, I went back to check how things were portrayed.
In the anime, it shows a bunch of blood on the building and she’s nowhere to be seen.
Before the slap she had her arms and legs. Yes Genos did rip off her legs, but she got more blood and regenerated as well as more powerful.
In the manga, we see her getting slapped and breaking a building and we see her silhouette in the distance with arms and legs, but we don’t know how long they truly are.
She may have lost her blood sack in the collision with the building as well as her arms and legs or they could’ve been damaged in the fall. and had to be amputated in order to receive new mechanical parts.
Also, can we talk about her slight change in appearance?
At the beginning she was hot, beautiful. Now she’s very cute looking and using it to sort of boost the impression of the business.
