If it is the standard layer of top soil/strata atop bedrock, then it will compress under the feet of something that big with the raw tonnage. Unless there are caverns. then all bets are off.

how is the ground not giving way under his robots feet. Are you gonna say farmland is built ontop of super-hard bedrock? Nothing would grow.
