I heard this was axed due to the pacing being too slow, but tbh I’m quite liking it so far – its doing a great job of character development and getting me to really grasp mc’s mindset

I’m pleasantly surprised at that interaction in the middle.
She pried into his past, then spread it all before him thinking it would be a sign of care and sympathy.
He ups and leaves, then she realizes that what she just did was more like sticking her fingers into unhealed wounds she’s discovered, not realizing that there are live nerve endings and real pain that are part of the person.
