To begin with, let me remind you that Ruby is going to star in a movie. Do you remember a separate clip with an opening from Yoasobi? I’ve been looking at him for a long time. There Ai has two versions: the real Ai and Ai in dark clothes and more ruby eyes (0:10). IT was only now that I realized that IT WASN’T REALLY AI, BUT RUBY IN HER ROLE.
Take a closer look at the clip: another Ai in dark clothes and with more ruby eyes is Ruby. Her hair in the clip also seems to be taken as a wig (because they have a different shade). Also in the song during the lines about Aqua and Ruby, the same “dark/other” Ai and points her hands in the direction of Ruby. (2:22)
I believe that the Yoasobi team was told about everything in advance and the clip was shot with references that should have been understood only after. It also turned out with the movie before the anime
