i wonder if the anime will change the ending up? they often did such stuff in the past as well when there was a to bad end.
Such a masterpiece. From beginning to end my emotions were in turmoil. The ending, altough it left me with a slight bitter taste, it was fitting I’d say. Maybe it’s because I was looking forward to how Aqua’s life would have progressed. I wish I could read this story for the first time again..

I was expecting worse when I heard people complain about the ending.
It felt obvious to me that Aqua was going down a dark path, and he was too focused on his goal to let anyone help pull him out of that pit.
It’s bleak, but Aqua accomplished his goal, and Sarina accomplished her own as Ruby (her dream of becoming an idol… going out with doctor was a massive, just egregious bust).
Yeah. I liked it.
