So, for the majority of that last story, they made him a gay merchant with daddy issues, then they let a level 99 player threaten him, all the while increasing his bad luck. Hence, his family has more issues, which in turn leaves him no choice but to sign the soul contract, which he can’t even get out of until he reaches level 100. If the company allows him to leave, which they probably won’t, what’s stopping them from just ruining his life after hitting level 100? The progression was great up until they drew out the last story.
