Much better excuse would have been:
“We created a process but every bit of funding went back into the company until they finally JUST launched and he just got his first payout.”
Would explain all the time spent in the room designing or coding or etc and also the sudden payment. Couldn’t talk about any design work because of Non Disclosure Agreement to protect ‘trade secrets’.
